Workshops AzPlay 2017

  • JOKUPLAY: DESIGNING VIDEOGAMES OF THE FUTURE. GDD JAM JUNIOR

    taller2016

    FROM NOVEMBER 20, 2017 TO NOVEMBER 24, 2017

The aim of the workshop is to put the participant in the game designer’s shoes with the purpose of learning how to think like a professional whose task is to imagine the videogames of the future.

Related to the new JokuPlay space of Mediateka BBK (a place designed for videogames and board games), the workshop offers the possibility to learn about the videogame creation process, as the main activity of a Game Designer.

It starts with an overview of the different types of videogame, and the most representative ones will be tested. Those taking part will have to think about the most relevant characteristics of each genre.

The next activity will be putting into practice everything learnt. By means of a Game Design Document (GDD), participants will be able to create a sketch of how they think the videogame of the future will be in some of the genres and topics proposed. This will be shown in a drawing with the appropriate explanation.
