Jury members

The AzPlay jury is appointed by the festival organisers and will be made up of leading professionals from the video game sector: creative directors, distributors, publishers and players, who, if they deem fit, may leave one of the prizes unawarded.

Jana Palm Jana Palm is the General Manager of Stugan, a world-class games accelerator in the middle of the Swedish woods. She has been there from the beginning and has helped build this unique project, which brings together talented game developers from all over the world and lets them work on their projects in an isolated place. Jana is also a judge in a few game dev competitions such as Indie Prize and IMGA. She is a frequent guest and a speaker at international conferences like Casual Connect, Pocket Gamer.
Koldo Gutierrez Koldo Gutiérrez is a journalist and one of the founders of the cultural magazine Cactus, where he usually writes about movies, comics, photography, music or video games. Also he manages and presents the radio program Machacabotones in 97 Irratia, dedicated to interactive entertainment. He has also published articles in other leading publications such as Deus Ex Machina or AnaitGames.com.
Lara Sanchez Coteron Ph. D. in Fine Arts specializing in Interactive Art and Games Design (UCM, 2012). Founder and designer of the artistic collective YOCTOBIT Games. Since 2008 curator of several cultural programs on experimental games as NotGames Fest (Germany, 2015), or Encuentros de Diseño y Cultura Digital #EDCD in Medialab Prado (from 2013). As a lecturer she teaches Game Design at ESNE and UPM. She also collaborates with other academic institutions (UIMP 2015).
José María Martínez Burgos, ‘Hafo’ CMO at WiMi5, an online game engine for creating HTML5 games. Co-founder of a mobile gaming company, Animatu, in 2002 and an apps for kids startup , DADA Company, in 2011. Curator and coordinator of AzPlay from 2009. Editor at aplicacionesmovil.com

The winners will be announced at the AzPlay Awards Ceremony in November 24th 2016.
